What does a Scenic company do? - A scenic company creates something out of nothing. In other words, we make wood look like rocks, foam look like trees, and plastic look like pieces of valuable crystal. Essentially we bring imagination to life, touch, taste, and feel.
Who is the SOL Scenic Team?- SOL is made up of an amazing roster of talented artists working in and around the Orlando area. Everything from soup to nuts, we’ve got it.
Is SOL Scenic insured? - In addition to regular insurance (auto, theft, etc) SOL carries a 3 million dollar liability policy as needed by most all of the theme parks in and around Orlando. This allows us to offer additionally insured status to our clients for little to no cost.
How much will my project cost?- That all depends on the scope of work and how much preparation has gone into the project before it reaches our hands. If you know exactly what you want, or you have no idea, we can take you all the way through the process from design to install. We are always willing to work with you and your budget, thats just part of the fun.
How long does it take to bid a project? - That depends on the bid size, scope of work, and current in house load. Normally it takes anywhere from 5-10 working days to complete a bid and turn it around. If for some reason its going to be longer then that we will keep you informed every step of the way.
How long will it take to complete my project?- This also depends on the scope of work.
What is a change order?- A change order is any change in the scope of work documented in the bid or contract. Based on the change type(ie: materials, length of time, or process) additional charges will be added to the final bill. All change orders will need to be approved by management from both SOL and the Client before the change will commence.
What do I need to get my project started?- An idea, an approved bid, 50% down, and voila your creation begins to take shape.
Are drawings necessary?- Drawings are the life blood of a project and much appreciated by our artists. In the event you don’t have any, SOL has the ability to generate all necessary drawings for a small fee upon approval from the client.
How much is a deposit?- Normally 50% is due upon bid approval and the remaining 50% upon delivery. On large jobs SOL will break up that percentage into smaller increments based on need (ie 30% on approval, 30% midway, and 40% upon completion).
What are office hours?- Our front office hours are Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, but our clients, like family, can always find us when we are needed.
How can I buy props?- Simply visit the Catalogue page on our website (Currently under Construction). You will find pricing and photos for the items we currently offer. As with all our business, purchased items need to be paid in full on or before delivery.
How can I get a job at SOL?- We are always looking for new people to fill out our talented roster. You can submit a resume in person, via fax, or email.
